The Road to Washington
In August of 2011, One Million Bones produced its first preview installation of 50,000 bones. Inspired and moved by the Albuquerque Preview Installation and looking to share the experience with individuals across the country, One Million Bones organized what we call The Road to Washington — simultaneous mini-installations and events in state capitals across the nation.
On April 28, 2012 in conjunction with a global day of action, 35 volunteer groups from Tallahassee to Springfield, from Cheyenne to Santa Fe, from Sacramento to Albany, hosted events in a national day of action.
There are recaps of all the events on our BLOG, and photos in the GALLERY. Community produced videos can be viewed HERE.
